On October 31, 2008 the Wall Street Journal reported that businesses are cutting tech spending due to the economic slowdown. They report that “things are only going to get worse”. The one bright spot that some of these companies can look towards is web conferencing to close the gaps where communication is needed worldwide. Web conferencing can be used for business meetings online, training sessions for customers, and demos from the sales departments. These sessions can be prerecorded and replayed on demand or they can be live video conferencing sessions–all from a laptop or a desktop.
